אלה, ילידת 1959 ,עלתה לישראל מליטא בשנת 1978.
היא עבדה כאחות בבית חולים במשרה חלקית, ופיסלה בזמנה הפנוי. כעבור שלושים שנה כאחות, נאלצה לבחור בין שני המסלולים והחליטה להפוך את האומנות למקצוע.
מאז ועד היום, אלה מקדישה את חייה לפיסול, כיוון שאת התשוקה הבלתי מרוסנת ליצור, לבטא משאלות במישוש החומר ולהביע את כשרונה המובהק – לא יכלה עוד למגר האומנות של אלה הוזנה בחמלה שספחה מהעבודה הקשה בבית החולים.
באצבעות דייקניות אך רחומות, אשר נגעו ברוך באלפי מטופלים, אלה מפסלת בסגנון ייחודי שהקנה לה את מעמדה כאחת היוצרות הבולטות בעולם הפיסול ברשת.
לא בכדי אנשים קופאים מול היצירות, מתפתים שלא לגעת ולהרגיש את הברזל המעוצב, ונדהמים מהמשחק המתגרה שהן מבטאות; ניגוד מתריס של שקיפות מול אטימות, גמישות מול קשיות, תוצר משיש מול רעיון חמקמק, יופי עמוק שמוכרחים לבהות בו.

Born in 1959, Ella immigrated to Israel from Lithuania in 1978. She worked as a part-time hospital nurse but kept sculpturing in her free time. Thirty years later, Ella decided to devote her life to sculpturing full time, when she realized that she could no longer subdue an unbridled passion for creation and for self-expression.
Ella’s art reflects a great sense of compassion that she cultivated during her many years of work at the hospital. With her precise yet compassionate fingers, which gently touched thousands of patients, Ella sculpts in a unique style, which has made her one of the world’s most prominent artists in the field of mesh sculpturing. Some people freeze when they observe Ella’s work. They are tempted to touch and feel the molded iron, amazed by the provocative quality expressed in her work – teasing contrasts of transparency versus opacity, elasticity versus rigidity, tangible shapes versus an elusive concept – sheer beauty that one must simply stare at.
The amazing thing about Ella is not just the soul-strata as reflected in her work, but her ability to listen to a person and sense his or her desire for a unique design. She can hear the hidden tremor in a voice, watch body movements and create – out of nowhere – a perfect sculpture to match the unique personality.
